Job Description

Our client is seeking a Civil Project Manager to oversee a wastewater treatment plant project based in West Cork This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer looking to progress into a Project Management role. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with regulations, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the delivery of a wastewater treatment plant project from inception to completion.
2. Oversee site activities to ensure compliance with design, safety, and environmental standards.
3. Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and local authorities.
4. Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, reporting regularly to senior management.
5. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on-site.
6. Resolve technical and operational issues promptly to avoid delays.
7. Prepare and review project documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
8. Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
9. Drive continuous improvement and ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally with exposure to water or wastewater projects.
3. Strong understanding of construction processes and regulatory compliance.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
6. Full, clean driving license.
