Job Description

Our client, a Tier 1 main contractor, is actively seeking a Civil Project Manager to join their team based in South Dublin The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the expansion of the company’s internal civil division, while also coordinating tender activities for the upcoming Metro project This is a strategic opportunity to influence the direction of a growing division and contribute to one of Ireland’s most significant infrastructure developments.

To be successful in this role, the preferred candidate will possess strong leadership and project management skills, with a background in civil or rail infrastructure, and experience in tendering, estimating, and procurement

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development and delivery of civil infrastructure projects from concept to completion.
2. Oversee the expansion of the internal civil division, including team coordination and resource planning.
3. Manage tender submissions for major projects, including the Metro programme.
4. Coordinate estimating, procurement, and technical input for bid preparation.
5. Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
6. Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality standards.
7. Monitor project progress and report on key performance indicators.
8. Resolve technical and operational issues across multiple workstreams.
9. Support strategic planning and contribute to long-term business growth.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
2. 7+ years’ experience in project management within the civil or rail infrastructure sector.
3. Proven experience in tendering, estimating, and procurement.
4. Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
5. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
6. Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
