RAM is a project delivery firm specializing in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering and Advisory services across Canada. RAM is searching for a motivated and experienced individual in Vancouver, BC. About the Role
RAM is looking for a Drafting Technician to support geotechnical engineering and earthworks construction projects across a range of infrastructure and development work.
This role is well suited for someone who enjoys technical drafting, working closely with engineers, and turning complex site and design information into clear, accurate construction drawings, figures, and presentation materials.
You will support projects involving excavations, fills, slopes, retaining walls, foundations, stormwater management, sediment control, excavation shoring, groundwater, and soil stratigraphy.

What You'll Be Doing
• Prepare construction drawings, figures, plans, elevations, sections, and details for reports, presentations, and project deliverables
• Support geotechnical and earthworks-related drawings, including excavations, slopes, retaining walls, foundations, shoring, drainage, groundwater, and soil stratigraphy
• Work closely with engineers and technical staff in a collaborative team environment
• Manage drawing files and coordinate the receipt, organization, and issuing of project drawings
• Review and interpret drawings and information from architects, engineers, surveyors, utility providers, and GIS sources
• Support drawing coordination across civil, structural, mechanical, survey, and utility information
• Assist with field work, including site reconnaissance and field measurements
• Help ensure drawings are accurate, organized, and delivered to a high professional standard

What We Are Looking For
• Minimum 2 years of drafting experience preferred
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Experience with plotting, drawing customization, and troubleshooting
• Strong ability to think and visualize in 3D
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity with engineering, construction, geotechnical, civil, or earthworks projects
• Comfortable working with metric and Imperial engineering scales
• Proficient with PDFs, spreadsheets, and common office files
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills
• Adaptable, team-oriented, and comfortable working with engineers and project teams
• Willingness to support occasional field work when required

Compensation & Benefits
The estimated annual base salary for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 as of the posting date. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training.

Please note that this range reflects base pay only and does not include the competitive bonus program or the comprehensive benefits package offered by RAM Consulting.
