Job Title: Civil Foreman

The Civil Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating day-to-day construction activities at the project site. The role ensures that work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations while meeting project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise daily civil construction activities at the site.
2. Allocate work to masons, carpenters, bar benders, helpers, and subcontractors.
3. Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
4. Monitor productivity of labour and ensure optimum utilization of manpower.
5. Coordinate with Site Engineers for daily work planning and execution.
6. Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available before starting work.
7. Inspect shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, masonry, plastering, and finishing works before execution.
8. Maintain daily progress records and report work status to the Site Engineer.
9. Ensure quality workmanship and rectify defects immediately.
10. Enforce company safety policies and ensure all workers use appropriate PPE.
11. Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings whenever required.
12. Monitor attendance and discipline of workers at the site.
13. Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
14. Identify site issues and report them promptly for corrective action.
15. Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the work area.
16. Prevent wastage of construction materials and maintain material accountability.
17. Verify completed work quantities before submission for billing or measurement.
18. Assist in resolving technical and execution-related issues on site.
19. Ensure compliance with client requirements and statutory regulations.
20. Perform any other site-related duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in Civil Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• SSLC/Plus Two with relevant construction experience may also be considered.
