Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee airport and site development engineering projects from design through completion This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project leadership, and business development skills to ensure high-quality project execution while maintaining client relationships and supporting company growth.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead the design, planning, and execution of airport and site development projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and manage project documentation, including plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports
  • Apply engineering best practices to evaluate, select, and adapt techniques, procedures, and criteria for each project.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within scope, budget, and schedule
  • Prepare bid documents, proposals, and feasibility studies to support project decision-making.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure seamless execution.
  • Monitor project progress, update milestones, and manage status reports and change orders
  • Resolve contract-related disputes, ensuring adherence to project specifications, material quality, and workmanship standards.
  • Participate in client and contractor meetings, addressing project challenges and ensuring alignment with objectives.

Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Support business development efforts by identifying potential clients and expanding industry relationships.
  • Represent the company at industry events, forums, and networking opportunities
  • Collaborate with clients, regulatory officials, and contractors to build long-term partnerships.
  • Assist in preparing project scopes, budgets, and fee proposals to secure new business opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in site development, infrastructure, or airport projects

Technical Expertise

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, stormwater modeling software, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state funding processes and regulatory approvals.
  • Ability to manage and organize multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong leadership and ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
  • Capacity to work independently while maintaining attention to detail and project integrity.

Licensure & Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; ability to obtain licensure in other states is a plus.
  • Supervisory responsibilities may be required as part of this role.
