This is a skilled, site based civil engineering position responsible for the supervision and management of civil engineering activities during construction of renewable energy projects (solar PV and wind projects, including associated works). It includes civil engineering design and specification reviews required by the Engineering Manager, procurement review and acceptance, and all construction supervision activities including quality control, HSE compliance, design and specification compliance, method statements, risk assessments and visual inspections of all civil related work.
Key responsibilities:
Construction supervision:
o Monitor Civil Engineering construction progress against the project time schedule.
o Meeting tight deadlines and manage costs within sphere of influence to ensure that project expenditure is within budget.
o Liaising with the BOP Contractor(s), including subcontractors and design consultants.
o Prepare management presentations and generate periodic reports with the progress status of the Project.
o Such other duties that may be required from time to time within the general scope of the position.
o The role description should develop along with the changing demands of the projects’ objectives and priorities.
