Join a nationally recognized team shaping the future of renewable energy infrastructure across Canada. As a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) within our Hydropower and Dams team based in Vancouver, you'll contribute to innovative dam, hydropower, and water infrastructure projects that support communities, advance sustainable energy solutions, and strengthen critical infrastructure for generations to come. A structural specialization is considered an asset and will support your growth within this dynamic and collaborative team.
Working alongside industry-leading specialists, you'll gain exposure to a diverse range of greenfield, rehabilitation, and dam safety projects while developing your technical expertise and growing your career within one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.

Your Impact

  • Contribute to feasibility studies and detailed engineering designs for new and existing hydropower and dam infrastructure.
  • Support the design and analysis of reinforced concrete and steel structures for dams, spillways, hydroelectric facilities, and related structures.
  • Participate in site inspections and field investigations to assess asset condition and support engineering solutions.
  • Assist in the development of technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and supporting design packages that help deliver safe and reliable infrastructure.
  • Contribute to dam safety assessments and studies that protect communities and critical assets.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Canada to deliver innovative and sustainable project solutions.
  • Grow your technical capabilities while helping shape the next generation of renewable energy infrastructure.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent engineering qualification.
  • Membership in good standing with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC)
  • Academic or professional exposure to structural engineering principles; experience with concrete and steel structures is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of hydropower, water retaining structures, dams, or related infrastructure projects is considered an asset.
  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to prepare clear engineering reports and calculations.
  • Ability to participate in field work, inspections, and site visits as required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with a desire to learn and contribute within multidisciplinary project teams.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $73,400 - $97,200
MB & ON: $67,000 - $92,200
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $66,300 - $88,000
