The North of 60 Engineering team is a vibrant group, focused on delivering innovative solutions for today’s civic challenges throughout the Territories and Western Canada. Building on each other’s talents, we collaborate across all disciplines to execute projects of all sizes and complexities – from roadway, traffic, structural, environmental, water, municipal, and more - to make our communities safer, more resilient, and exciting places to live and work.
We encourage our team to push the limits in an innovative and energetic environment, focusing on developing our team’s skillsets while advancing individual careers. We routinely engage with experts throughout North America, making the most of today’s technology and being the first to create new ones. We have three offices north of 60—Whitehorse, Yellowknife, and Iqaluit, the capital cities of the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut, respectively—serving as hubs for project delivery across the territories. Because our northern teams are lean and deeply connected to the communities they serve, people working north of 60 take on broader roles, gain hands on experience, and contribute across the full life cycle of projects. Here are a couple of links to provide an example of the work you could be involved in:
Grays Bay Road and Port - Engineering and Environmental Consulting
Mackenzie Valley Highway Extension
We’re driving the future of northern infrastructure. This is a place to apply your passion and grow with endless opportunities to help advance communities, today and tomorrow. We create great places and connections that get people and goods moving—whether by car, bus, train, plane, bike, scooter, or their own two feet. Working within the context of the communities we serve, we provide planning, engineering, and infrastructure management services that fit the needs of our clients and improve the overall experience. Join our team and help us keep supporting growing communities.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to some of the most significant transportation and economic infrastructure initiatives in Northern Canada, including current and future work associated with the Mackenzie Valley Highway, Grays Bay Road and Port, and the broader Arctic Economic Security Corridor. Alongside these major corridor projects, this role is also deeply connected to the municipal engineering needs of small and growing northern communities—where reliable roads, drainage, water and sewer systems, site servicing, and resilient community infrastructure directly support daily life, access to essential services, housing growth, emergency response, and long-term economic sustainability.
As part of our North of 60 Engineering team, you will help shape infrastructure solutions in some of Canada’s most complex and meaningful project environments, where engineering, environmental stewardship, Indigenous partnership, constructability, and logistics all come together. This role offers the chance to contribute to nationally significant corridor projects while building strong relationships with territorial governments, Indigenous organizations, industry partners, and multidisciplinary teams across Canada.
