As a Civil Engineer II, you will carry the technical design on several active projects at once, and you will be the person the team comes to when a site problem needs an answer. You will produce PE-stamped drawings and specifications, take the design through code and agency review, and run construction administration on your own projects with a senior engineer available but not looking over your shoulder.
This is the level where a civil engineer stops executing someone else's plan and starts writing it. You will build the work plans and schedules yourself. You will coordinate the other disciplines and the outside consultants, and you will mentor the engineers coming up behind you. The step from here is Civil Engineer III, and past that, project and studio leadership. Progressive is employee owned (ESOP), so the work you deliver builds your own stake in the firm.
