Job Description

Civil Engineer - EIT (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services Inc.; West Palm Beach, FL): Design, analyze, and prepare roadway, drainage, and temporary traffic control construction plans including development of typical sections, horizontal and vertical alignments, 3D-models, drainage structures, and cross sections using Microstation, Geopak, Open Roads Designer (ORD), and Autoturn design software. Design, analyze and prepare signing and pavement marking using Microstation, Geopak, OpenRoads, Autoturn, and Guidesign software. Interpret FDOT documents and publications including the FDOT Design Manual, AASHTO Greenbook, Florida Greenbook, Standard Plans, Standard Specifications and the Basis of Estimates (BOE) in the preparation of construction plans. Select pay items, calculate quantities, and prepare construction cost estimates for transportation projects. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). #LI-DNI #GTM

Bonus: Individuals in this position may be paid a discretionary bonus.

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: Microstation, Geopak, and Open Roads Designer (ORD) CAD design software for roadway design projects; AutoTurn design software for geometric design of highways; and GuideSIGN CAD software for the design of sign panels for highways.

Must have active U.S. Engineer Intern certification.

Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days a week, depending on business need.
