Civil Engineer – Construction Support

You will be part of our Datacenter Construction Support Team in Visakhapatnam, contributing to the civil engineering activities of a mission-critical data center facility. This role focuses on site coordination, quality control, and ensuring timely civil works execution in alignment with the project schedule.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Support the civil engineering construction activities including substructure and superstructure works on-site.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals for civil works.
• Monitor concrete pours, formwork, rebar, and waterproofing activities as per specifications.
• Perform site measurements, validate contractor billing, and prepare reconciliation statements.
• Coordinate site logistics and material management for civil works.
• Maintain site documentation – inspection test plans (ITPs), material registers, and punch lists.
• Assist with preparation of as-built drawings and construction completion records.
• Participate in site coordination meetings with MEP and structural teams.
• Flag deviations from approved design and support resolution through RFI/NCR process.
• Ensure strict compliance with project HSE protocols and environmental regulations.

Mandatory Skills:

• Sound knowledge of civil construction methodology for large-scale commercial or industrial buildings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; ability to read and interpret GFC drawings.
• Experience with preparation and review of inspection test plans (ITPs) and QA documentation.
• Familiar with material testing standards and third-party inspection protocols.

Advantageous Skills:

• Exposure to mission-critical / data center construction projects.
• Working knowledge of BIM coordination and clash detection.
• Experience with ERP-based project management tools.

Soft Skills:

• Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven construction environment.
• Good interpersonal skills for contractor and vendor coordination.
• Fluency in English; Telugu language skills an advantage.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.

Experience:

• 3–5 years of construction-phase civil engineering experience.
• Prior experience in data center, IT parks, or large commercial construction is advantageous.
• Local candidates from Visakhapatnam / Andhra Pradesh strongly preferred
