Job Title – Civil Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to support the planning, execution, and supervision of construction projects. The role will be responsible for ensuring civil works are completed according to project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and approved schedules while coordinating with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Site Supervision

• 
  Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• 
  Monitor site progress and ensure project milestones are achieved within scheduled timelines.
• 
  Coordinate construction activities with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
• 
  Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues in a timely manner.

Engineering & Technical Support

• 
  Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
• 
  Ensure proper implementation of structural, civil, and infrastructure works.
• 
  Verify quantities, measurements, and material requirements for project execution.
• 
  Provide technical guidance and support to site teams and contractors.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• 
  Conduct inspections to ensure workmanship meets project quality standards.
• 
  Monitor construction activities for compliance with local regulations, authority requirements, and industry standards.
• 
  Coordinate material testing, inspections, and quality control procedures.
• 
  Ensure corrective actions are implemented for identified deficiencies.

Planning & Coordination

• 
  Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation activities.
• 
  Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, and project management teams.
• 
  Track project progress and prepare status reports for management review.
• 
  Support procurement teams with technical evaluations and material approvals.

Cost Control & Documentation

• 
  Review contractor progress claims and verify completed work quantities.
• 
  Assist in monitoring project costs and budget performance.
• 
  Maintain accurate project records, reports, and technical documentation.
• 
  Support variation assessments and contract administration activities.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

• 
  Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
• 
  Participate in safety inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox meetings.
• 
  Promote safe working practices among contractors and site personnel.
• 
  Report and address safety concerns proactively.

Stakeholder Management

• 
  Liaise with consultants, contractors, authorities, and project stakeholders.
• 
  Attend project meetings and provide technical updates.
• 
  Support project managers in ensuring smooth project delivery and coordination.
• 
  Maintain effective communication with all project participants.

Qualifications & Experience

• 
  Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 
  Professional engineering certification or membership is an advantage.
• 
  3–8 years of experience in civil engineering, construction supervision, or project execution within real estate, infrastructure, or construction projects.
• 
  Experience in residential, commercial, mixed-use, or infrastructure developments is preferred.
• 
  Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and authority requirements.
