About the jobWe’re seeking a Civil Designer to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of projects for major clients across the resources (mining and minerals) and energy sectors. In this role, you’ll apply your civil design expertise across a diverse portfolio of multidisciplinary projects, working collaboratively with teams across Australia and our global offices.You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality technical design solutions, contributing to complex projects from concept through to execution while supporting the integration of work across multiple disciplines and locations.Who we areWorley is a global company of energy, chemicals and resources experts headquartered in Australia. Leveraging extensive experience and AI-enabled delivery, we support customers in navigating complexity as they meet today's needs and transition to more sustainable solutions.What you’ll doReporting to the Lead Designer, you will deliver civil design services that meet Worley and customer requirements while ensuring compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory standards, delivered safely, on time and within budget.Produce high-quality technical deliverables, including access roads, construction pads, stormwater drainage systems, bulk and detailed earthworks, pipelines, and supporting mining infrastructure.Process and integrate geospatial and survey data, including LiDAR, topographic survey information and GIS datasets into project models.Develop and maintain 3D models, collaborating with other disciplines to support integrated project delivery.Prepare accurate and high-quality 2D drawings throughout all phases of project execution.Prepare quantity take-offs and calculations to support Bills of Quantities and project estimating activities.Support collaborative workshare across Worley offices, providing guidance and assistance to less experienced team members where required.Work closely with other disciplines to ensure coordinated and efficient delivery of customer requirements.Maintain effective communication with the Civil Engineering team, project stakeholders and customers throughout project delivery.What you’ll bringA technical diploma with discipline-specific training, or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.Experience in civil design within the mining, minerals and/or energy sectors.Experience working on medium to large multidisciplinary projects is highly regarded.The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.A sound understanding of relevant local and international standards, together with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong commitment to delivery excellence and customer service.Technical and Industry ExperienceExperience working within projects that utilise a 3D modelling workflow.Proficiency in 12d Model and AutoCAD.Exposure to additional design platforms such as Civil 3D and MicroStation will be highly regarded.Experience collaborating within diverse and multidisciplinary teams.Why you should applyWork locally on nationally significant industrial assets and projects.Combine technical delivery, client leadership and business growth in one influential role.Join a supportive multidisciplinary team with access to broader global expertise.Develop your career through varied work, mentoring and direct exposure to clients and operating facilities.Enjoy a regional lifestyle without stepping away from complex engineering challenges.Build trusted relationships and see your engineering solutions progress into construction and operation.Moving forward togetherWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
