Operating under detailed instructions and review, the purpose of this position is to provide the essential technical knowledge and perform the work listed. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. The purpose of this position is to work on design and perform layout of moderate scope to support the Design Area Lead or Lead.

• Prepare 2D and 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings and model of moderate complexity

• Review drawings, survey documentation of basic to moderate complexity within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution

• Perform bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations

• Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures

• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

  • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight to twelve (8-12) years.
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Experienced in preparing general civil engineering drawings, including earthworks (rough and finished grading), roads, and drainage systems.
  • Develop Heavy Haul Road, access road designs for Mining and Oil & Gas projects.
  • Proficient in using civil design software such as OpenRoads, and Civil3D to develop design and construction drawings.
  • Proficient in additional software tools such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
  • Familiarity with SP3D and Revit are considered an added advantage.
  • Design and model drainage systems and stormwater management solutions.
  • Participate in the design and modeling of utilities, earthworks, and grading layouts.
  • Coordinate and conduct clash detection reviews between discipline models.
  • Skilled in creating accurate and detailed drawings based on design inputs, sketches, field notes, and verbal instructions.
  • Verify existing site conditions and dimensions to ensure design accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical disciplines.
  • Perform conceptual layout planning and develop detailed design elements.
  • Hands-on experience in preparing general arrangement and reinforcement detail drawings for concrete structures.
  • Competent in ensuring quality and accuracy of drawings and associated deliverables.
  • Experienced in preparing material take-offs and material lists for project requirements.

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
