Civil Engineering Designer
Our Client has an immediate need for a Civil Engineering Designer with 3+ years of experience to work in our Greenville, NC office. The position will present the opportunity to work on a variety of projects both in scale and type. Candidates must possess good communication and organization skills and be able to work well in a team environment. A successful candidate will be given the opportunity to grow and progress in their career. Essential job responsibilities will include:
Be self motivated and able to work alone or with a team.
Have experience with and be knowledgeable about Civil 3D.
Be able to set-up construction drawings from a Survey base drawing.
Prepare Construction drawings sets necessary to present information as required to obtain approvals necessary to precede into permitting and construction under supervision of a project Engineer.
Be able to self-review and review drawings by drafters and other designers for accuracy and completion.
Be able to coordinate with Drafters, Designers, Engineers, Landscape Architects and Inspectors.
Have experience with performing basic Civil Design, such as Street Grades, Water System layout, Sanitary Sewer collection system layout, stormwater system layout, parking lot layout and general Site Plan development.
Have experience with developing final grading of finish surfaces as well as pipe grades with supervision of the project Engineer.
Be able to coordination with other disciplines, either through TEG or outside consultants.
Have an understanding of how drawings relate to real-life conditions in detail as it relates to proposed Design with supervision by a project Engineer.
