We currently have an opening for a Senior Civil Designer Engineer in our San Bernardino and Anaheim California office. Under the supervision of a project manager/professional engineer, the qualified individual will review plans, report and calculate for land development projects includinggrading, drainage analysis, street design, street widening, water distribution, sewage collection and storm drain systems. Additional tasks include review of SWPPPs, WQMPs and SUSMPs based on the new general permit and water quality requirements by county.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with 5 to 7 years of experience in civil engineering field.
• Current California land development and civil design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration issued by the State of California is desirable but not required.
• Experience using AutoCAD or Civil3D and Revu Blue Beam to review plans and report for individual projects and provide comments.
• Proficiency in computer design programs AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Hydrology-Hydraulics software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Knowledge of general permit and water quality requirements.
• Working Knowledge and understanding of AASHTO, Highway Design Guide, CA MUTCD, Caltrans and APWA standards, and other related standards

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

• Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data in relation to the design and plan preparation of public works projects and land development projects.
• Thorough understanding of design practices of streets, sanitary sewers, water, systems, and other types of public works structures.
• preparation of drawings, plans, and estimates for improvement projects.
• Responsible for budget estimates, cost control for assigned tasks and/or projects.
• Responsible for schedule and meeting turnaround times per contractual obligations.
