We're looking for an experienced Civil Construction Project Manager to oversee Civil projects in the Waikato region. This pivotal role involves managing and leading project delivery to ensure work is completed profitably, compliantly, and efficiently. You'll enjoy variety and challenge while having the opportunity to make a significant impact. The role requires excellence in people leadership and staff development, managing important stakeholder relationships, and taking responsibility for both operational and financial outcomes.
In addition to the above you will:
Set project estimates for resource use and cost, manage the project to meet or exceed margins / profit
Ensure jobs are carried out to job specifications, company policies and relevant legislation, codes and regulations
Maintain customer / client relationships and find innovative ways to add value to our customers and meet expectations
Subcontractor and Supplier Management
Prepare a specific programme to achieve the construction dates and milestones
Lead and champion Fulton Hogan best practices, work procedures, health and safety, environment and quality procedures, customer relationship management on all projects
We’re looking for someone with:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing the delivery of projects in the Civil Construction industry
Holds relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor or Engineering) or equivalent practical experience
NZ Citizen or NZ Resident
Full class 1 driver’s licence
Proven client building relationship and management experience
Strong financial management acumen
Solid experience with job pricing including materials, labour and plant and associated margin / profit calculations
Knowledge of underlying engineering principles that represent good practice with NZ Civil
Familiar with NZS 3910, Construction Contracts Act, NEC Contracts, Working towards CCS training as Project Management tool
Competent users of Word, Excel and Project
