Mō te tūranga | About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Civil Carpenter to join our team at Fulton Hogan. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows their craft, takes pride in quality work, and wants to be part of a team that backs each other to deliver Good Work every day.

You’ll work across a range of civil construction activities, from complex formwork and concrete structures through to detailed timber work on railings, boardwalks, bridges and fences. If you’re practical, switched on, and serious about safety and standards, this could be the right fit.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

  • Read and interpret plans with strong attention to detail
  • Construct complex falsework and formwork for concrete structures using timber or form systems
  • Complete detailed timber work for structures such as railings, boardwalks, bridges and fences
  • Pour and place concrete, and safely use handheld tools and equipment
  • Take part in pre-starts, risk planning, and help keep work safe, on time and to a high standard

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with

  • 8+ years’ experience in residential building or civil carpentry within the construction industry
  • A current Class 1 licence, with Class 2 and W, T, R endorsements a bonus
  • Strong practical skills and confidence working outdoors in a hands-on environment
  • A proactive, team-focused approach with a strong eye for quality and problem solving
  • A genuine commitment to safety, reliability, respect, and doing the job properly
