Mō te tūranga | About the role

Our 4-week paid cadet programme is a great way to get started in civil infrastructure. Running from Monday 20th July to Friday 14th August, you’ll learn on the job, build practical skills, and work alongside experienced people from day one. As part of the Infrastructure Skills Centre course, you’ll learn safe work practices, use basic tools and equipment, build confidence on site, and get hands-on experience with the kind of work that keeps projects moving. All with no experience needed!

• Complete the 4-week training programme.

• Learn safe work practices and use them every day.

• Build basic civil skills through hands-on work.

• Support the team across different sites and projects.

• Follow instructions and help get the job done right.

• Look after your own safety and the safety of others.

• A good attitude and willingness to learn.

• A strong work ethic and hands-on approach.

• A focus on safety and teamwork.

• A minimum Class 1 restricted driver licence.

• The ability to carry out the inherent requirements of the role.

• Comfort working outdoors and on active construction sites.
