ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.
The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.
Our Central-West Orana project is currently seeking experienced Civil All Rounders to join our growing Energy Hubs and Substations team.
Working across large-scale 330kV and 500kV high-voltage (HV) substation and transmission infrastructure projects, these roles will support a range of civil construction activities including earthworks, concrete works, rigging operations, material handling, plant operation, and general site support. Successful candidates will work closely alongside civil, mechanical, and electrical crews in a fast-paced construction environment.
This is a remote project position operating on a 14 days on / 7 days off roster. Bus transport is currently provided from Sydney only, with various pick-up and drop-off stops between Sydney and the Mudgee region. All other applicants within NSW will be required to DIDO (Drive In Drive Out) at their own expense. Please note this is not a FIFO role and candidates residing outside NSW will be required to arrange and fund their own travel to Sydney or site if successful.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting civil construction activities across substations and transmission infrastructure projects
Assisting with rigging, lifting, and material handling operations
Operating various plant and equipment including telehandlers, skid steers, excavators, forklifts, and water carts where required
Assisting with concrete pours, concrete finishing, formwork and general civil works
Working alongside multiple trades and crews across the project
Maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards on site
General labouring and site support duties as required
Required Skills and Competencies
Minimum Skills & Qualifications
Construction White Card
Previous civil, construction, mining, energy or major project experience
HRW licences including RB, RI, DG, LF
Experience operating mobile plant including skid steer, excavator, telehandler, forklift, and other civil equipment highly regarded
Trade backgrounds highly regarded including Carpentry, Concrete Finishing, Boilermaker, or Fitter
Concrete and general civil works experience highly regarded
Ability to work safely in high-risk construction environments
Physically fit and able to work in remote outdoor conditions
Current Driver’s Licence required - HR Licence highly regarded
