Scope of Position:
The Regional Project Cargo Management Lead is responsible for coordinating and executing logistics projects that support business development, commercial growth, and strategic initiatives. This role combines project leadership, operational excellence with strong analytical and commercial capabilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with business objectives. Expeditors Project Cargo Services business consists of both ad hoc heavy and over dimensional cargo and EPC/ project logistic opportunities.
The ideal candidate brings a balance of project experience, commercial acumen, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Skill and Knowledge Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
•3 – 5+ years of experience in Project Logistics coordination, project leadership, and business development project cargo work.
•Knowledge of Export and import regulations. Experience in specialized ocean, air, land transportation.
•Strong understanding of Project Cargo sales, market analysis, operations and business development processes.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under deadlines.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
•Exceptional customer service capabilities, with a strong focus on client experience and service excellence.
•Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, or equivalent).
•Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data, metrics, and KPIs.
•Intermediate to advanced English, verbal and writing.
•Availability and flexibility for business-related travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience working in pricing (vendor relations), commercial development, strategic planning, growth-oriented roles.
•Familiarity with CRM systems, sales processes, or commercial performance dashboards.
•Knowledge of project management methodologies.
•Intermediate to advanced Excel or data analysis skills.
