The Restorative and Preventative Services Division 0922 Citywide Violence Response Manager serves as department lead for the APD Community Response Network Initiative and day-to-day program activities and operations. The position coordinates with partner departments primarily the Department of Children, Youth and Their Families, the Department of Public Health, and the San Francisco Police Department on shared goals and outcomes. Coordinate with the department’s Reentry Division, Pretrial Services, and ADM/Finance Division to incorporate contracting and Controller’s Non-Profit Guidelines. Coordinate with contracted CBO Program Directors to ensure they are meeting city requirements, contracting goals and outcomes. Serve as community liaison and reentry services coordinator. Supervise an 1823 Senior Administrative Analyst and 8452 Criminal Justice Specialist, and 8529 Probation Assistant, and other subordinate staff.
The San Francisco Adult Probation Department is looking for a candidate who is culturally competent, and community centered with experience in responding to and collaborating within community to build capacity in prevention, intervention, barrier removal, employment, and supportive services for high risk and need communities. This is a public facing position, and the ideal candidate must also be able to effectively communicate, connect, and bring focus to the specific needs of individuals from communities disproportionately impacted by trauma and violence.
Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include nights and some weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
AND
Experience: 3 years of full-time experience managing and executing operational plans, designing, implementing, and/or evaluating evidence-based violence prevention programs.
Substitution:
May substitute up to 2 years of education for Bachelor of Art degrees with additional years of experience at a demonstrated professional level duties in functional areas such as: community program/office/operations management, budget development and/or administration, or contract/grant administration may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. One (1) year (2000 hours) of qualifying experience will be considered equivalent to thirty (30) semester units or forty-five (45) quarter units.

Selection Procedures
