The City of Washburn is seeking both a City Clerk and City Treasurer who are dedicated, detail oriented, and community-focused to join the team in this vibrant City. The Clerk & Treasurer positions were established as separate, full-time positions in early 2026.
City Clerk: $50,000 - $75,000 plus excellent benefits. The Clerk is the chief custodian of city records, parliamentarian and ensures compliance with open meetings and records laws. This position also serves the role of a Deputy City Treasurer and deputy Zoning Administrator. Additionally, the Clerk is responsible for election administration, all licensing & permit administration as well as property valuation and cemetery records.
Treasurer: $60,000 - $85,000 plus excellent benefits. The Treasurer is the chief financial officer of the City and also serves as Deputy City Clerk.
Position requires an Associates Degree and/or Certified Municipal Treasurer designation from Municipal Treasurers Association of Wisconsin or ability to obtain it.
