Job Description

We are looking for responsible bus drivers with strong customer‑service skills for full-time or part-time* work driving public buses during the summer of 2026. The job requires a high level of professionalism and safety awareness, but above all a friendly attitude toward all groups in society — from seasoned bus users to brand‑new passengers heading out on a field trip.

This role is offered from April until September with potential of extension.

Almenningsvagnar Kynnisferða operates under the brand Icelandia which is a leading travel service company in Iceland. The company employs over 600 individuals who are dedicated to providing their customers with an outstanding service experience.

* Part time work is offered on weekdays from 06:00-10:00 or 13:00-19:00

Main responsibilities

• Drive vehicles and assist passengers.
• Daily supervision and cleanliness of vehicles.
• Work according to environmental, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license D and category 95.
• Driving experience.
• Clean criminal record.
• Good spoken English skills, at least B2 level.
• Be an exemplary driver; safety & service-minded and with good communication skills.
• Be able and willing to work in a multicultural environment.
• Neatness and punctuality.
• Positive attitude, energetic and self-reliant.
