Circularity & Value Chain Transformation Junior Consultant

We are open to applications from any of our UK office locations which includes London, Bristol, Manchester, Oxford or Edinburgh.
The individual will work across a variety of projects related to Circularity & Value Chain Transformation (C&VCT), supporting delivery of client projects. Tasks will include data analysis, research, stakeholder engagement, report writing and support for project and client management.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery:
• Support the delivery of multiple projects across C&VCT, including circularity, waste management, Extended Producer Responsibility, Life Cycle Analysis, sustainable products and packaging.
• Assist in the preparation of client deliverables, including reports, presentations and data summaries.
• Support project coordination activities, and contribute to internal and client meetings, including preparation and note-taking.
Data Analysis:
• Support the collection, cleaning, and validation of data across different types of projects.
• Manage, maintain, update and analyse datasets and generate insightful outputs for client deliverables.
• Undertake modelling activities to help fill data gaps and generate forecasts.
• Support documentation of methodologies, assumptions and data sources.
Research & Insight:
• Conduct research on sustainability topics and regulations, particularly related to circularity and supply chains.
• Support the development of insights and content for client deliverables.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Manage communications between internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing communications, guidance materials and training content.
• Help track stakeholder engagement participation and follow up on data and engagement activities.
Team Support:
• Provide general support across project teams, including administrative and coordination tasks.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support business development activities where appropriate (e.g. desk-based research).
Key Requirements, Skills Knowledge & Expertise
Essential:
• At least 12 months demonstrable prior experience of working on environmental sustainability topics or a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (e.g. environmental science, sustainability, agriculture, geography, economics)
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, and confident in dealing with data
• Attention to detail
• Advanced in using Excel and comfortable with using other MS packages such as Word and Powerpoint
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks across multiple projects, and work collaboratively within a team
• Demonstrable interest in sustainability, circularity and supply chains.
Desirable:
• Understanding of waste and recycling systems, waste data and/or food waste
• Understanding of waste / product related LCA
• Understanding of EPR, ESPR and other related regulations
•Experience of working with Alteryx
• Experience of data visualization tools such as Power BI
