Job Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Circuit Support Specialist to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.

Responsibilities

  • Lead circuit lifecycle management: plan, provision, activate, monitor, tune, and decommission enterprise circuits across NIPR/SIPR and hybrid/cloud environments.
  • Serve as primary technical liaison with carriers, service providers, and vendors for provisioning, escalations, SLA enforcement, trouble‑ticket resolution, and RMA coordination.

  • Perform root‑cause analysis for circuit incidents, coordinate cross‑functional remediation with engineering, NOC, SOC, and operations teams, and validate corrective actions.
  • Conduct capacity forecasting, cost/performance tradeoff analyses, and recommend optimization or modernization actions (diversity, redundancy, route optimization, carrier swaps).
  • Maintain circuit inventories, topology diagrams, service records, circuit diagrams, and configuration documentation in authoritative repositories.
  • Ensure circuit implementations comply with architectural standards, security requirements, RMF/STIG considerations, and program operational needs.
  • Produce circuit status reports, SLA performance metrics, outage post‑mortems, and executive briefings for program leadership.
  • Mentor junior circuit engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of circuit management processes and automation.
