Job Description

Do you have expertise in Cleaning in Place (CIP) processes and are you looking to take on a rewarding challenge in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Do you want to be a part of the innovative journey at Novo Nordisk? If so, we want to hear from you!

About the Role

As a CIP Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the production of strategically important products by developing, optimizing, and maintaining cleaning processes for manufacturing equipment. As part of the management team, you will leverage your expertise to optimize processes across the area and ensure compliance with industry standards.

The role involves taking an active part in the cross functional process group for cleaning processes within API Manufacturing. You collaborate across all Manufacturing sites to optimize cleaning processes and ensure we stay aligned with and continuously adapt based on current industry practices.

Your Responsibilities

  • Challenge and improve CIP processes in API production and serve as a key decision-maker in collaboration with management within cleaning across the area
  • Evaluate risks and prioritize cleaning activities and projects across the area
  • Support planned projects and validation activities as well as troubleshooting and propose sustainable solutions
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in performance board meetings and management meetings and provide strategic input during management discussions.
  • Teach/mentor less experienced colleagues and promote continuous learning and professional development within the department.
  • Collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver successful and sustainable outcomes

Your Qualifications

  • Several years of experience with CIP/cleaning processes and requirements in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional and global teams.
  • Background in engineering, chemistry, biotechnology, or a related field
  • Fluent in English; Danish is an advantage

About the Department

In API Manufacturing M1, we have more than 650 colleagues, organized across three production departments and three supporting departments. Together, we operate multipurpose production lines from fermentation to purification of APIs for strategically important Novo Nordisk products. We ensure our operations run efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with all applicable requirements.

In addition, we continuously improve by driving both routine enhancements and larger improvement projects that increase output and strengthen process performance, stability, and compliance across all our processes, including cleaning.

API Manufacturing, as part of Global Manufacturing & Supply, manufactures several product types and manages daily operations with our skilled international team—ensuring that APIs are purified in a compliant manner and to the required quality. In API Manufacturing M1, we are responsible for fermentation, recovery, purification and drying of the final API, and ensure it is delivered to the next stage in the supply chain. We foster a workplace built on innovation, embracing change and diversity, and we act as a trusted partner to our stakeholders—delivering reliable API supply to Drug Product manufacturing
