Job Description

CIO Office Analyst

Our story goes back more than 150 years, to the chilly southern coast of Scandinavia. From our early success in Sweden and Denmark, we’ve grown into the world’s leading specialist producer of plant-based oils, employing more than 4,000 people all across the globe.

We work with our customers to make the products you love even better. The oils we produce go into making your chocolate extra-creamy or putting the crunch into your croissant. And it’s not just food — we work across industries to make products that are higher quality, healthier and better for the planet.

Everything we do is about Making Better Happen™.

AAK Malmö

This position is based in Malmö, Sweden

About the role

As CIO Office Analyst, you will support the CIO Office and IT Leadership Team with analytical support, strategic insights, executive communication material, and decision-support content. You will transform complex information into clear insights, compelling presentations, and recommendations that enable better decisions and stronger execution across AAK’s global IT organization.

The role combines analytical thinking, business understanding, and strong communication skills, working at the intersection of strategy, technology, and organizational development. You will support a broad range of strategic and operational topics and gain significant exposure to senior IT leadership.

This is a global individual contributor role within AAK’s CIO Office, reporting to the Head of CIO Office. The role has no direct reports or budget responsibility. You may participate in strategic initiatives, but will not initially lead projects.

Responsibilities

As CIO Office Analyst, your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Develop high-quality executive presentations, decision material, and communication packages for the CIO and IT Leadership Team, translating complex topics into clear and compelling stories for senior audiences.
  • Support strategic investigations, initiatives, and projects with analysis, research, business cases, options assessments, and recommendations that enable informed decision-making.
  • Analyze data and information to identify insights, trends, and improvement opportunities, translating findings into clear key messages and structured visual narratives.
  • Support IT governance processes, including preparation of management meetings, portfolio reporting, strategic initiative tracking, and performance follow-up.
  • Continuously improve CIO Office processes, templates, and ways of working, contributing to stronger transparency, alignment, and execution quality across IT.

About you

To be successful in the role you need:

  • Experience working in a strategy, transformation, consulting, CIO Office, PMO, or similar analytical and communication-oriented role.
  • Strong ability to create professional presentations, executive communication material, and compelling visual storytelling, with excellent PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to turn complex information into actionable insights, including experience performing analysis and supporting decision-making.
  • Good business understanding and the ability to connect technology topics with business value and strategic priorities.
  • A structured, curious, and proactive working style, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Experience in an international or matrix organization is considered an advantage.

As a person, you listen carefully to stakeholder needs, identify the right key messages, and produce outputs that are both analytically rigorous and easy to understand. You are comfortable working with complex topics, incomplete information, changing priorities, and high expectations for quality.

In return AAK offer

  • Join a pioneering company in specialty oils and fats, driving innovation and sustainability.
  • In AAK you can work across 25+ countries, gaining international exposure and collaborating with a diverse team.
  • AAK invests in your development with training, mentorship, and clear career paths.
  • You will contribute to a greener world with AAK's sustainability-focused approach.
  • Join a diverse and inclusive workplace that values every individual's perspective and talents.
