Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. The Communications team at Arthrex is growing with our new StudioX open and we are actively searching for a Cinematographer I. The Cinematographer serves as a camera operator and editor for Arthrex, Inc.’s medical education, training, and promotional content. This position will be located on our corporate campus in Naples, FL. Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate camera, audio and lighting equipment used to produce high-quality, digital media that educates our audiences.
  • Post-produce content for final delivery.
  • Repurpose video content into multiple digital formats.
  • Follow media production tools and best practices.
  • Follow standards and guidelines for consistent corporate identity.
  • Maintain project status within Arthrex project management systems.
  • Offload all media into appropriate storage locations and verify media transferred successfully as well as provide quality control for all recorded footage.
  • Maintain all files in digital asset management system.
  • Operate a motorized camera jib.
  • Produce segments shot on a various DSLR and cinema format cameras.
  • Availability to work weekends when necessary

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in film, Media Production, or related field preferred.
  • 1 years of related experience preferred in video production.
  • Basic portfolio demonstrating fundamental camera work.

  • Limited working knowledge of industry-standard camera equipment, camera lenses, audio, and lighting equipment.
  • General understanding of After Effects, Prelude, Photoshop, and Apple Operating Systems.
  • Knowledgeable of best practices for studio and field production workflow.
  • Basic knowledge of composition.
  • Basic knowledge of lighting and lighting techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of camera settings and theory for exposure, frame rate, depth of field, and color balance for video.
  • Basic knowledge audio recording techniques.
  • Knowledgeable of best practices for post-production workflow.
  • Basic knowledge in the use of Adobe CC applications.
  • Knowledge of basic color correction.
  • Ability to mix multitrack audio.
  • Required travel up to 20%

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Fundamental understanding of camera operations and settings (ISO, aperture, shutter speed, white balance)
  • Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly Premiere Pro
  • Understanding of video file formats, codecs, and basic compression techniques
  • Knowledge of proper media management and backup procedures
  • Familiarity with basic lighting principles and three-point lighting setup
  • Understanding of basic audio recording principles and equipment

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

  • Position requires a knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro, After Effects, Prelude, Photoshop, as well as the Apple operating system.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular lifting and carrying of camera equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Extended periods of standing, walking, and moving around production sets
  • Ability to maintain steady hand control for camera operation
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching while setting up equipment
