Job Description

• Installs, configures, deploys and maintains CIM hardware facilities, including user interface terminals(PCs), equipment interface cards and terminal servers (HUME) for automation
• Assists CIM Engineers in the development of CIM software solutions
• Assists CIM Engineers in the development of factory automation systems (station controllers(HUME))
• Assists CIM Engineers in conducting training of CIM solutions to operations
• Performs installation and configuration of CIM software systems in production
• Performs setup of communication(mainly SECS) between MES and equipment
• Supports UAT. Participates on test for unit and performance (load, stress) testing
• Provides technical (L1) support for CIM production related system issues and escalate to CIM Engineers as needed.
• Need to be assigned in shifts to provide 24x7 support coverage
• Monitors application stability, performance and availability. Promptly resolves operations issues
• Tracks inventory of IT facilities and peripherals (PCs, mobile devices, phones and barcode printers in Fab)
• Tracks inventory of automated Fab equipment (machine PCs)
• Performs repairs and replacement of IT facilities & peripherals and escalate to DSS as needed

Years of experience

• New grads / 1-2 year preferred
• Understanding of factory automation testing processes
• Understanding of manufacturing application architecture, performance characteristics and application management utilities
• Problem solving skills
• Adequate programming experience necessary to develop OS scripts to automate application start up, shutdown and backup facilities

Education – Diploma level or higher, studied course of Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electronics

• Knowledge in Windows and Linux OS environment
• Knowledge in data cabling and interfacing protocols
