VACANCY NOTICE
EXTRA CURRICULAR ASSIGNMENT
PROFESSIONAL

JOB TITLE: Choir Director (Extra-Curricular)
LOCATION: West Taylor Elementary School
TIME: 3:00-4:00 during regular school days, one day a week or as otherwise determined with principal approval
TO WHOM ACCOUNTABLE: Building Principal
EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon Board Approval
STIPEND: $30 hour, not to exceed 40 hours
FUNDING SOURCE: Step 7

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Elementary teaching certificate
2. Experience working with a children's choir preferred

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and maintain documents for communication, registration, and permissions
  • Prepare materials for rehearsals
  • Rehearse songs with students
  • Maintain attendance records of participants
  • Arrange and provide performance opportunities for the choir
  • Provide on-going communication with principals, teachers, and parents.
  • Direct students in various choral needs at the elementary level
  • Supervise students during practice sessions or performances
