Job Description

At the Danish Chips Competence Centre DkCCC, we are looking for a Chip Fabrication and Innovation Manager to be working on a unique combination of international network building and local entrepreneurship. The two main tasks will be:

  • To build a strong network among the various Danish and Nordic companies, research institutions and other stakeholders active in chip fabrication, testing and packaging. The ambition of this network is to support specialized international supply chains which allow early-stage chip companies to focus their development resources on the key value adding technologies while outsourcing other tasks.
  • To operate as ‘Entrepreneur in residence’ at the DkCCC partners - initially at DTU Nanolab. The focus here is to identify business and start-up opportunities through dialogue with mainly researchers and Ph.D students.

The Danish Chips Competence Centre (DkCCC) started in January 2025 with headquarter at DTU and a 4-year grant of 57 million DKK. Our goal is to support semiconductor and chip development and fabrication, with the aim to stimulate commercialization of chips in Denmark. We are one of 27 chips competence centers (CCCs) in the EU, and we work closely with our Nordic and European counterparts.

  • Function as the primary contact for the local chips ecosystem users interested in using DkCCC cleanroom services – e.g. fabrication-related feasibility studies.
  • Be the primary DkCCC contact for Cleanroom and nanofabrication coordination within the European Network of Chips competence centres. One of the first collaboration areas to engage in will be ‘sustainable cleanroom fabrication’.

Our expectations of you

  • You have a degree in engineering or physics, preferably with practical or end-user experience in chip fabrication.
  • You have experience in proactively setting the agenda in network building and entrepreneurial dialogues and you have talent for obtaining tangible results in informal collaborations with a range of diverse stakeholders.
