Job Description

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Counts all chips in each set of collection boxes.
2. Records accurate count of each box onto count sheets and reconciles amount with another count team member.
3. Performs count in a timely manner according to schedule.
4. Informs Count Team Supervisor of any inaccuracies or problems.
5. Sells chips to the Cage.
6. Assists casino personnel with various collection boxes.
7. Ensures that all collection boxes are secured and accounted for.
8. Maintains security of the Count Room, drop boxes, and drop box keys while on shift.
9. Frequently lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
10. Occasionally pushes and pulls up to 50 pounds.
11. Washes all racks and chips.
12. Collection of chip racks from floor.
13. Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by the Count Team Supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Required to walk and stand for at least (6) hours per shift. Must be able to lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds for various job-related duties, at various times throughout the shift.

QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience Required: 6 months of cash handling experience.

Education: High School Diploma and/or equivalent.

Other Requirements: Must have excellent math skills, legible handwriting, hand dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must demonstrate positive/enthusiastic approach to all assignments. Attendance and punctuality are an essential function of the position. Must be clean, well-groomed, and have a professional appearance.

Must possess an ability to work with minimal supervision and make educated ethical decisions as necessary. Must be able to resolve conflicts and have effective communication skills with all levels of employees and be able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment. Must demonstrate an ability to work independently, prepare detailed professional correspondence, memoranda, policies, procedures as well as regulations related to the employee’s duties. A general knowledge of the Windows based computer operating systems is also required.

SCHEDULED HOURS

Commerce Casino operates 24 hours, 7 days a week. Schedules may vary depending on business needs.
