[What the role is]
The internship is timed to capture the most exciting and intensive phase of Chingay's production calendar — from costume fabrication, management of make-up artistes, costumes & props management, performing groups engagement, all the way through to the live parade and post-event close-out.
Interns will be hands-on contributors working alongside experienced professionals at every stage of the journey. Beyond technical skills, the internship aims to cultivate in each intern a strong sense of cultural awareness, professional adaptability, and the confidence to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
[What you will be working on]
Event Planning & Execution
Provide on-the-ground support for allChingay-related events beyond the main parade, including media conferences and pre-publicity activations
Costumes, Props and Creative Production
Assisttoensure thattheproduction of costumes, accessories, and props that meet the artistic and cultural requirements of the parade
Assistwith thedistribution, maintenance, and collection of costumes and props across the various performer groups
Stakeholder and Vendor Management
Assistwith the liaison of costume designers and fabricators to ensure thetimelydeliveryof costumes and props
Assistto arrangemake-up artistes for the different performing groups
Assistwith the coordination ofdelivery, pre-setting and collection of costumes and props during event days
Logistics and Administrative Management
Assistwithpre &post-event administrative and logistical follow-up
Support with the managementof the storage space
[What we are looking for]
Undergraduates, diplomaholders arewelcome,individualswith a passion for fashion, design, and the artsarepreferred
Proficiencyin Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong soft skills such as communication and adaptability
Able to commitduringrehearsals and key event datesthat are held onweekends
Proficiencyin Digital Design Toolswill bean added advantage
