Job Role

The Sales Director will be responsible for leading business development, customer acquisition, and commercial growth initiatives across Vietnam. The role focuses on expanding market share, strengthening strategic customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sustainable revenue growth within the apparel, garment manufacturing, fashion, luggage, and accessories sectors.

Working closely with customers, manufacturing groups, sourcing organizations, and internal stakeholders, the successful candidate will develop and execute commercial strategies that support long-term market expansion objectives. This position requires strong leadership capabilities, deep industry knowledge, and established relationships within Vietnam’s apparel and fashion manufacturing ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies, customer acquisition plans, and market expansion initiatives to achieve business growth objectives.
  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across apparel, garment manufacturing, luggage, fashion, and accessories sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, manufacturers, sourcing organizations, brands, and strategic stakeholders.
  • Manage and expand existing customer accounts while identifying opportunities for increased business collaboration.
  • Conduct market analysis, competitor monitoring, and industry research to support commercial planning and business development activities.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract discussions, pricing strategies, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Drive sales performance and ensure achievement of revenue, profitability, and market penetration targets.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, account performance, and business development activities to support long-term partnerships.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management support to local sales team members where applicable.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, business reports, market intelligence updates, and strategic recommendations for management review.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Management, Economics, Textile Management, Fashion Business, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within apparel, garment manufacturing, textile, fashion, luggage, bags, accessories, trims, zippers, or related industries.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a sales leadership, commercial management, or business development management role.
  • Proven track record of developing new customers, managing key accounts, expanding market share, and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the apparel manufacturing supply chain, garment industry ecosystem, sourcing processes, and customer requirements.
  • Experience managing commercial negotiations, customer relationships, sales planning, account development, and revenue generation activities.
  • Established customer network within apparel manufacturers, garment factories, fashion brands, sourcing companies, luggage manufacturers, or related industry stakeholders in Vietnam.
  • Strong business development, stakeholder management, networking, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, commercial acumen, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and drive sustainable business growth.
  • Comfortable with frequent business travel, customer visits, industry events, and relationship management activities.
  • Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Professional fluency in Vietnamese is required.
  • Mandarin proficiency would be considered a strong advantage for regional communication and cross-border business collaboration.
