Job Description

Client Overview

Our client is a globally recognized robotics and intelligent logistics automation company specializing in advanced warehouse automation systems, autonomous sorting technologies, and high-density fulfillment infrastructure. Established in Hangzhou, China in 2016, the company has become one of the world’s leading innovators in flexible intelligent sorting systems and industrial robotics engineering.

The organization is widely recognized for pioneering modular automated sorting technologies and deploying tens of thousands of intelligent robots across international logistics and fulfillment ecosystems. Its solutions are extensively utilized by multinational retail enterprises, e-commerce giants, and global supply chain operators to improve warehouse efficiency, reduce labor dependency, and accelerate operational throughput.

With rapidly expanding overseas operations across Asia, Europe, and North America, the company continues strengthening its international technical support infrastructure to support large-scale automated logistics deployments and next-generation robotics ecosystems.

Job Role

The Overseas After-Sales Engineer is a highly technical, field-based engineering role responsible for ensuring the operational reliability, maintenance quality, and technical performance of advanced warehouse automation and robotics systems deployed at client facilities. The position combines fault diagnosis, robotics troubleshooting, field commissioning, customer support, and cross-border technical coordination within a fast-paced multinational engineering environment.

Acting as the primary on-site technical representative in Malaysia, the successful candidate will support the complete post-sales lifecycle of intelligent robotic systems including AGVs, AMRs, automated sorting platforms, sensor systems, and industrial communication networks. The role requires strong hands-on engineering capabilities, customer-facing technical communication skills, and the ability to coordinate closely with headquarters engineering and R&D teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults across AGV, AMR, and automated warehouse systems to minimize operational downtime.

  • Perform on-site equipment installation, commissioning, testing, calibration, and system optimization activities.

  • Provide technical support for international customer deployments including remote troubleshooting and emergency repair response.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections, system tune-ups, and sensor calibration procedures.

  • Prepare structured technical service reports, fault analysis documentation, and maintenance records in English.

  • Deliver customer operational training sessions and equipment maintenance guidance.

  • Manage regional spare parts inventory and coordinate replacement component requirements with headquarters supply chain teams.

  • Collect operational feedback, performance insights, and technical improvement recommendations for engineering and R&D teams.

  • Ensure all automation deployments and technical operations comply with industrial safety standards and local regulations.

  • Coordinate with multinational engineering teams during field service assignments and technical escalation activities.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation, or related technical disciplines.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience within warehouse automation, robotics engineering, AGV/AMR systems, or automated material handling industries.

  • Proven hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining AGV, AMR, or intelligent robotic systems.

  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, CAD drawings, industrial sensors, and automation system architectures.

  • Practical experience using diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters and electrical testing equipment.

  • Familiarity with industrial communication networks, laser guidance systems, and automation control frameworks.

  • Experience preparing structured technical reports, root-cause analysis documentation, and maintenance records.

  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to operate independently during field assignments.

  • Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to dynamic international deployment schedules.

  • Professional fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) is mandatory for customer communication and coordination with headquarters engineering teams.
