Job Role

The Logistics Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end import and export operations within Thailand while ensuring seamless customs clearance, transportation coordination, regulatory compliance, and cross-border logistics execution. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on management of day-to-day logistics activities, requiring close collaboration with customs authorities, logistics vendors, freight partners, and regional stakeholders.

The successful candidate will serve as the key operational leader for the Thailand business, ensuring efficient cargo movement, managing local logistics resources, mitigating compliance risks, and maintaining strong relationships with customs authorities and service providers. This position is ideal for experienced logistics professionals with strong expertise in international freight forwarding, customs operations, and cross-border supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Manage end-to-end import and export logistics operations, including freight coordination, shipment tracking, transportation planning, and cargo movement management.
• 
  Oversee customs clearance activities, ensuring full compliance with Thai import-export regulations, customs requirements, tariff classifications, and documentation standards.
• 
  Monitor regulatory developments, customs policies, trade restrictions, and compliance requirements to proactively mitigate operational and legal risks.
• 
  Develop and manage relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, trucking companies, customs brokers, and logistics service providers to ensure operational efficiency.
• 
  Manage logistics data, operational reporting, and system accuracy across ERP, warehouse management, and transportation management platforms.
• 
  Coordinate cross-functional communication between local operations, overseas teams, logistics partners, and key stakeholders to ensure smooth business execution.
• 
  Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost optimization, and service enhancement across logistics and supply chain operations.

Requirements

• 
  Bachelor's Degree or above in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, Transportation Management, or related disciplines.
• 
  Minimum 5–8 years of experience in logistics operations, freight forwarding, customs clearance, international transportation, or cross-border supply chain management.
• 
  Proven experience managing import-export operations, freight documentation, customs processes, and international logistics activities within Thailand.
• 
  Strong understanding of Thai customs regulations, import-export compliance requirements, tariff classifications, and customs clearance procedures.
• 
  Experience managing relationships with customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transportation providers, and logistics vendors.
• 
  Proficient in ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and logistics reporting tools.
• 
  Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• 
  Hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance operational execution and strategic oversight in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• 
  Fluent in Mandarin and Thai, with the ability to conduct business communication, documentation, and negotiations in both languages.
• 
  Good command of English for regional coordination and business communication.
