Chinese Mandarin Operational Language Analysts (Cleared)
Ft. Meade, MD

SCD Information Technology (SCDIT) is seeking mission focused Chinese Mandarin Operational Language Analysts (OLA) to perform tasks required to process voice and/or graphic language materials in support of SIGINT operations for a large Intelligence Community customer.

Responsibilities
The Chinese Mandarin OLAs shall demonstrate the following cryptologic language processing skills:

• Recover essential elements of information.
• Render translations and/or transcripts that are complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken material.
• Gist straightforward, factual written and/or spoken material.
• Translate and/or transcribing complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken material.
• Type on an English-language keyboard.

Requirements

• An active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required to start. A CI poly may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Associate of Arts (AA)/Associate of Science (AS) degree, or equivalent from other countries. In lieu of the Associate’s Degree, an additional two (2) years of directly related, applied, practical work experience may be substituted.
• Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Skill Level 3 in Audio Translation Performance and/or Translation Performance from the required language(s) into idiomatic, standard American English. Scores from the NSA Civilian Language Test of Record, valid at time of resume submission, may be used as acceptable validation for text translation and audio translation skill level(s). ILR skill level validation shall be documented within two years prior to resume submission.
• Equivalent of four (4) years full-time experience in cryptologic related language experience in required language.
• For at least two (2) of the four (4) years’ experience, translating and/or transcribing, and gisting shall be the primary duties. For no more than one (1) year of the required four (4) years, reporting shall be the primary duty. Two (2) of the four (4) years’ experience shall be within four (4) years of resume submission.

There are numerous openings in the Ft. Meade, MD area from OLA Level 1 – 3 so position requirements and salary ranges will vary depending on level of position.

• Salary Range $99,000 - $149,600

Chinese Operational Language Analyst 2 (3 openings)

• Requires TS/SCI with CI Poly
• Salary Range $140,300 - $149,600

Chinese Operational Language Analyst 2 or 3 (1 opening)

• Requires TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly required to Start
• Salary Range $140,300 - $191,600

Chinese Operational Language Analyst 3 (1 opening)

• Requires TS/SCI with CI Poly
• Salary Range $179,600 - $191,600

Salary Range: $99,300 – $191,600
