About the role:

As the Chinese Head of Partnership , you will be responsible for leading and growing Tickmill's partnership business across the Chinese markets. You will develop and execute strategic partnership initiatives, manage and mentor a high-performing team of Business Development Managers (BDMs), and drive sustainable client acquisition through Introducing Brokers (IBs), affiliates, institutional partners, and strategic alliances.

You will be accountable for achieving regional revenue and net deposit targets while ensuring the team delivers an exceptional partner experience throughout the entire lifecycle—from acquisition and onboarding to retention and long-term growth.

Working closely with Marketing, Product, Operations, Compliance, Client Services, and senior management, you will identify market opportunities, influence product development based on partner feedback, and ensure our offerings remain highly competitive within the Chinese market.

What does the role look like?

  • Recruit, lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Managers to consistently achieve business objectives and KPIs.
  • Develop and execute the regional partnership strategy to drive client acquisition, trading volume, and net deposits.
  • Identify, recruit, and manage high-value Introducing Brokers (IBs), affiliates, institutional clients, and strategic partners.
  • Build long-term relationships with key partners by understanding their business needs and delivering tailored commercial solutions.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to identify new business opportunities and improve our competitive positioning.
  • Work closely with Marketing to plan and execute regional campaigns, seminars, webinars, and partner engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Product and Operations teams to enhance the client and partner experience through continuous product and process improvements.
  • Monitor team performance, pipeline health, and regional KPIs, providing regular reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure all partnership activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and commercial excellence.

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • Proven experience leading Partnership teams within the online trading, CFD, Forex, or financial services industry in Chinese market.
  • Strong understanding of the Chinese market, including IB business models, competitors, client acquisition channels, and regional market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently delivering commercial growth, including client acquisition, net deposits, revenue, and trading volume.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commercially driven with excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Operations, Compliance, and Client Services teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Native or professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, business intelligence tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as business needs require.

Will be considered as a plus:

  • An established network of Introducing Brokers, affiliates, KOLs, or institutional partners within the Chinese market.
  • Experience developing regional partnership strategies from the ground up.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, performance marketing, and lead generation strategies.
  • Experience launching new partnership initiatives, incentive programmes, or regional campaigns that delivered measurable business growth.
  • A passion for mentoring people and building high-performing BDM teams.
