Lead compliance with China-specific cybersecurity and data protection laws, including MLPS 2.0 classification, filing, and audits, and act as the primary liaison with Chinese cyber security regulators.
In collaboration with Legal and Group Information Security, interpret evolving regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable controls and policies, supplementing global standards where required.
Align China cybersecurity strategy with global security frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001) while meeting localization requirements
Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of local security tooling and services where required (including monitoring tools, SIEM, SOC etc.) in the China region.
Coordinate with IT/OT teams across various manufacturing sites to enable the collection, parsing, and normalization of logs from network devices, security products, servers, endpoints, and other sources.
Maintain close communication with the headquarters in Denmark and regional teams to report on China cyber risk posture; and required mitigation efforts.
Oversee local security operations, and assist with responding to security incidents impacting China, and provide technical analysis and support as needed.
Support customer security enquires both during the contracting process and otherwise
Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in information security, including at least 3 years in a global company.
Deep understanding of the requirements imposed by China Cybersecurity Law, MLPS 2.0, and other applicable cyber regulations and standards.
Hands-on experience with at least one major SIEM platform (such as Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel, Palo Alto XSIAM, or Elastic Search), including deployment, configuration, and day-to-day management.
Solid understanding of core security domains including network security, endpoint protection, and identity and access management.
Hand-on experience with performing enterprise security risk assessments, including system classification, filing, and auditing as required by MLPS
Knowledge of OT/ICS security and factory network architectures is a plus.
Prior experience in security implementation within the medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other highly regulated sectors (e.g., finance, energy) is a plus.
Personal competencies
Strong command of English (both written and verbal), enabling seamless participation in global meetings, preparation of technical documentation, and collaboration with international colleagues.
Proven ability to coordinate projects and drive progress across multiple teams.
Demonstrated ownership, proactive learning capability, and a solution-oriented approach.
Capable of working autonomously in a dynamic, cross-cultural setting.
