The job
We areseekinga strategic and execution-focused China Market Development Initiative Program Manager to lead high-impact transformation and market development programs critical to AVEVA’s growth in China. This roleis responsible fororchestrating complex, cross-functional initiatives that span market entry, localization, go-to-market enablement, operational readiness, and value realization.
The successful candidate will combine strong program leadership with financial and operational rigor, ensuring initiatives are governed effectively, executed predictably, and measured against clear business outcomes. This role serves as a critical bridge between China leadership, global teams, and functional stakeholders to ensure strategicobjectivestranslate into tangible market impact.
Key responsibilities
Program Strategy & Leadership
Lead China market development and transformation programs from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with AVEVA’s regional and global strategicobjectives
Partner with executive stakeholders to define program goals, success criteria, roadmaps, milestones, and resource plans.
Drive clarity across people, process, and technology dimensions of large-scale initiatives.
Governance & Operating Model
Establish and run robust program governance structures, including steering committees, working groups, and escalation paths.
Define roles, responsibilities, decision frameworks, and cadence to ensure transparency, accountability, andtimelydecision-making.
Ensure adherence to enterprise transformation standards, financial controls, and reporting expectations.
Financial Planning & Performance Management
Own program budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking across China initiatives.
Establish and operationalize financial and program management toolsets to support cost tracking, resource allocation, and performance reporting.
Analyze variances, risks, and trends; proactively recommend corrective actions.
Market & Stakeholder Alignment
Act as a central coordination point across China leadership, sales, marketing, R&D, finance, and global transformation teams.
Ensure market-specific needs, constraints, and opportunities are incorporated into program scope and execution.
Build strong stakeholder relationships andmaintainconsistent, effective communication at all levels.
Program Execution & Delivery
Drive end-to-end program delivery, ensuring initiatives meet defined scope, quality, budget, and schedule commitments.
Monitor progress against milestones and KPIs; remove obstacles and enable rapid issue resolution.
Ensure dependencies across teams andinitiativesare actively managed.
Process, Tools & Capability Buildout
Lead the deployment and adoption of program andfinancial managementprocesses and tools across China initiatives.
Define and document operating processes; support training, change adoption, and continuous improvement.
Risk, Change & Quality Management
Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks; implement contingency and mitigation plans whererequired
Drive structured change management to ensure adoption of new ways of working.
Implement quality assurance practices to ensure deliverables meet agreed standards.
Value Realization & Continuous Improvement
Measure initiative outcomes versus baseline tovalidatevalue realization.
Capture lessons learned and best practices to continuously improve program execution and impact in China.
Promote a results-oriented, continuousimprovementculture within program teams.
Essential requirements
5+ years of experience in program management, transformation, business planning, or operational leadership roles.
Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a global or matrixed organization.
Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance measurement.
Demonstrated ability toestablishgovernance, operational processes, and reporting frameworks from the ground up.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills.
Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, ora relatedfield.
PMP,PgMP, or equivalent certification highly desirable.
Fluent inMandarin and English
