For over 25 years, Bravehearts has been a leading voice in child protection. The impact of our work drives us towards our Vision of a world where people, communities, and systems all work together to protect children from sexual abuse. We are dedicated to creating a brighter, safer future where children are free from sexual harm.
Our mission is bigger than ever, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, highly organised Children’s Personal Safety Presenter to join our team and deliver our important safety message to children.
This is a part time role, working Monday - Thursday, 7:30am – 4:00pm (32 hrs per week). The team work reduced hours over the school holidays (Tues-Thurs, 16.5 hrs per week), so this role is perfect for someone seeking more flexibility and work life balance.
Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure program offers personal safety education for children in early years to lower primary, fully aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the Australian Curriculum. Starring Bravehearts’ lovable lion cub ‘Ditto’ and a specially trained presenter, the team deliver a fun, interactive show to schools and early childhood services. The show teaches young children essential personal safety skills using age-appropriate language, song, and dance.
The team is an exceptional group of dedicated individuals. They work tirelessly to deliver each Ditto Show with energy, enthusiasm, and genuine engagement. Thanks to their commitment, an over 1.6 million children have experienced the Ditto Show since its inception in 2006. Their care and kindness extend beyond the stage: they support one another with compassion and genuine respect.
There are two important aspects to the role of Children’s Personal Safety Presenter. Firstly, you will deliver our education program either in the lion cub mascot suit (non-speaking part) or as the presenter who guides and leads the show. The other aspect is the administrative tasks, which include booking in and following up shows, daily use of our client relationship management (CRM) program, HubSpot, and maintaining equipment and stock levels.
If you're someone who thrives on variety and enjoys a mix of performance and administrative tasks, this role could be a great fit for you!
