Position Title: Kids Ministry Director

Reports To: Senior Pastor

Position Status: Part Time (20 hrs.)

Purpose: Minister to the Kids and families ages birth to 4th grade at Greenville Alliance church. Administer, develop, and implement kids' ministry programs designed to meet the spiritual, social, and emotional needs of the kids, leading them to spiritual commitments and disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend and participate in GAC (Greenville Alliance Church) services and related activities
• Recruit and train volunteers in the kid's ministry.
• Select curriculum and other resources for the ministry.
• Establish and oversee the budget for the Kids ministry.
• Plan for and supervise regular kids’ programs (currently Kids church, Sunday school, Sunday Night Kids)
• Coordinate and supervise any special kids' ministry programs (this may include VBS, special events, camps, etc.)
• Provide oversight of the nursery ministry and volunteers.
• Offer regular updates to parents, staff, and Governing board.
• Other staff duties and meetings as deemed appropriate.
• Establish regular office hours

Qualifications:

Character: Life demonstrates a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Education: Undergraduate degree preferred.

Experience: Ability to speak to groups of kids, recruit and work with leaders, and a love for the local church.

**Experience working with inclusion and special needs ministry a plus.

Requirements: Willingness to become a member of GAC, a passion for and understanding of children age ministries, ability to lead and work alongside others.
