We're looking for a passionate and dependable Children's Director to lead and grow our children's ministry from the nursery through 5th grade.

The Role
The Children's Director oversees the spiritual care, safety, and discipleship of children from 6 months old through 5th grade. You'll lead our Sunday morning programming, develop a team of volunteers, and create a fun, safe, and faith-filled environment where kids look forward to coming each week.
What You'll Do
• Lead and oversee Sunday morning children's ministry for ages 6 months–5th grade
• Plan and implement age-appropriate, gospel-centered curriculum and activities
• Recruit, train, schedule, and encourage a team of children's ministry volunteers
• Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment, including secure check-in/check-out and safety procedures
• Partner with parents to support faith development at home
• Coordinate special events such as VBS, holiday programs, and family gatherings
• Communicate regularly and warmly with families and the pastoral team
• Steward classroom supplies, space, and ministry resources well

Required:
• A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with Anchor Church's beliefs and values
• Experience working with children in ministry, education, or childcare
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• A genuine love for kids and a heart for families
• Dependability, warmth, and a team-first attitude
• Availability on Sunday mornings plus some weekday hours
• Ability to pass a background check
Preferred:
• Prior experience leading a children's ministry
• Experience recruiting and leading volunteers
• Familiarity with children's ministry curriculum and resources
