About the role

We are looking for an organized, creative and enthusiastic Children’s Marketing Coordinator to join our North American team.

Working closely with our North American Marketing Manager, you will help bring Hardie Grant Children’s Publishing titles, series and brands to life in the US market. You will coordinate marketing campaigns across consumer, retailer, digital and industry channels, support our authors and illustrators, and help grow the visibility and discoverability of our books.

This is a varied and hands-on role for someone who loves children’s books, enjoys turning ideas into action and is comfortable juggling multiple campaigns and deadlines. You will work closely with colleagues across North America and Australia, contributing to both local campaigns and broader international initiatives.

What you’ll be doing

  • Coordinate marketing campaigns for priority children’s titles, series, authors and illustrators.
  • Create and adapt campaign materials across digital, retailer, consumer and industry channels.
  • Help grow HGCP North America’s social media presence and build engaged audiences around our books and brands.
  • Coordinate review copies, influencer mailings, awards submissions and promotional activity.
  • Support author and illustrator events and other marketing opportunities.
  • Develop Amazon A+ content and support ecommerce and discoverability initiatives.
  • Maintain campaign schedules, assets and marketing databases, while tracking results and learnings.
  • Work closely with publishing, marketing, publicity, sales and metadata colleagues across North America and Australia.

About you

You will ideally bring:

  • One to two years’ experience in children’s book marketing, publishing, media, communications or a related marketing role.
  • A genuine interest in children’s books and an understanding of children’s audiences.
  • Strong written communication and content development skills.
  • Experience supporting campaigns across digital, consumer, retailer or industry channels.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Confidence working across different teams, systems and digital platforms.
  • A collaborative, proactive and curious approach.
  • Familiarity with the North American book market would be highly regarded.
