This is a new and exciting leadership role responsible for shaping the vision, development, and delivery of all children's programming and activities across Park City Ski & Ride School (SRS), supporting both Mountain Village and Canyons Village operations.

As the resort's subject matter expert for children's products, the Children's Manager champions innovation in how children learn, explore, and connect with the mountain. This role leads the creation of engaging, age-appropriate experiences that blend skill development, adventure, creativity, and storytelling to inspire a lifelong love of skiing and riding.

The Children's Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all children's lessons, ensuring consistent, high-quality guest and employee experience aligned with enterprise standards. By continuously evolving lesson experiences, introducing innovative activities, and creating memorable mountain adventures tailored to different developmental stages, this role helps elevate the guest experience and differentiate Park City's children's offerings.

This leader fosters a culture of continuous improvement, creativity, and operational consistency while empowering teams to deliver safe, engaging, and memorable experiences for every child and family.

Job Specifications:

Job Responsibilities:

Children's Product Leadership

  • Provide leadership and oversight of all children's lessons and seasonal programs at Park City Mountain.
  • Drive consistency, quality, fun, and guest experience standards across the resort.
  • Activate children's resources to elevate lesson experiences and visibility throughout the resort, both on snow and indoors.
  • Partner closely with operations leaders, trainers, and instructors to drive excellence in children's lessons, staff development, communication, compliance, and lesson delivery.

Compliance & Operational Standards

  • Ensure all children's lessons operate in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Continually identify opportunities to elevate all aspects of children's operations, including:
    • On-snow instruction and lesson delivery
    • Rental processes and equipment management
    • Lunch supervision and procedures
    • Indoor play and learning facilities
    • Guest check-in and pick-up processes

On-Snow Resources & Product Development

  • Develop and maintain engaging on-snow teaching resources that improve lesson effectiveness and guest progression.
  • Establish and manage children's teaching tools, terrain usage recommendations, progression pathways, and lesson support materials.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation within children's programming and curriculum development.

Technology & Systems Leadership

  • Demonstrate expertise in Lesson Connect, SRS operational systems, and My Epic applications.
  • Serve as, or support, Lesson Connect Resort Champions.
  • Assist with training, implementation, adoption, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operational support of My Epic and other SRS systems.
  • Develop resources and best practices that help instructors utilize technology effectively to enhance guest service and lesson delivery.

Instructor Development & Training Support

  • Partner with the SRS Training Team to develop, support, and deliver training related to children's products and teaching techniques.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for trainers, team leads, and instructors working within children's programs.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to identify, develop, and support future leaders within children's programming.

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • PSIA/AASI Level I Certification (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of children's Ski & Ride School operations.
  • Experience working in a large Ski & Ride School environment.
  • Strong understanding of children's programming, teaching techniques, and guest service best practices.
  • Experience leading and developing instructors and frontline teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple resort locations and effectively manage competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PSIA/AASI Level III Certification (or equivalent).
  • Previous leadership experience as a supervisor, trainer, team lead, or manager within Ski & Ride School operations.
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs.
  • Experience working with Ski & Ride School operational systems and technology implementation initiatives.

The expected pay range is $58,859.00 - $84,084.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
