Job Location: HRCA Rec Center at Eastridge - Highlands Ranch, CO 80126
Position Type: Part Time
Salary Range: $17.00 - $21.00 Hourly

General Statement of Duties:   Responsible for the physical appearance and set-up of the room; aids in the supervision of activities for the children; and takes direction and instruction from the Lead Instructor.
Supervision Received:    Works under the direction of the Education Program Coordinator and Lead Instructor.
Supervision Exercised:    May direct the work of an Aide in the same classroom only.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Examples of Duties:   The following examples of duties are intended to be illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive.
- Plans, prepares and instructs a specific children’s class.
- Provides a cost-breakdown per class for revenue and budgeting analysis.
- Interacts with children in a positive manner.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills when interacting with members and other staff.
- Maintains a professional attitude while supporting the objectives of the Children’s program.
- Treats all children with dignity and respect.
- Performs other duties as assigned and required.
Physical and Environmental Standards:
Must be able to repeatedly sit, walk, stand, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, reach and lift, push, and pull.  Must be able to type, write, use a calculator, use a computer, and answer the telephone.  The ability to communicate face-to-face is needed.  Vision requirements include near and far acuity.  Must be able to properly lift/move 20 pounds unassisted and 40 pounds with help. 

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Knowledge in education, children’s or general recreation programming in line with the class being taught.  Ability to effectively communicate with participants and parents in a positive manner.  Must possess current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Education:

Experience: Must have three months of full-time or part-time equivalent (460 hours) satisfactory and verifiable experience with children 1-8 years of age.
