Job Overview

My Gym San Carlos is seeking an energetic, reliable, and engaging instructor to lead children’s fitness and gymnastics-based classes for infants, toddlers, and young children. Classes include both parent-participation programs and independent classes focused on movement, coordination, confidence, and social development in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.

This is a part-time position with opportunities for additional hours based on business needs, availability, and performance.

At My Gym, instructors help create positive experiences for children and families through movement-based learning and engaging class instruction. Team members may also assist with customer service, enrollment support, birthday parties, camps, events, and general gym operations.

This role is well-suited for individuals with experience or interest in:

• Early childhood education
• Fitness or kinesiology
• Dance, gymnastics, cheer, or martial arts
• Coaching or youth programs
• Child development or recreation

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist age-appropriate children’s classes and activities
• Create a welcoming, engaging, and inclusive environment for children and caregivers
• Maintain safe class operations and follow company safety procedures
• Support children’s participation, skill development, and confidence-building
• Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, and team members
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and general facility organization
• Participate in training and team meetings as required

Qualifications

• Experience working with children preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, which may include standing, bending, reaching, moving gym equipment, and lifting or assisting children and equipment as needed

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
