Job Description

Your Opportunity to SHINE ON:

As the largest provider of Child Care in Manitoba, spanning approximately 38 centres, we are proud to offer a diverse portfolio of high-quality care for infants, toddlers, preschool, kindergarten, and school-aged children—and we are continuing to grow. As part of this expansion, we are adding a new, broader leadership team member to strengthen our impact, with a primary focus on curriculum leadership and quality enhancement across our programs.

This is more than a role—it’s an opportunity to lead with purpose, contribute to an evolving leadership team, and build inclusive, high-quality programs that reflect and celebrate the diverse communities we serve.

WHY you’ll love Y Winnipeg:

You’ll be part of a mission-driven organization where people, purpose, and well-being come first—serving as a true heart of the community for over 2,000 children and 3,000 families. Our culture prioritizes inclusion, leadership development, and equitable practices that reflect the diverse communities we serve. Here, your voice and leadership will help deepen community impact and drive meaningful, lasting change.

HOW you’ll create Moments that Matter:

You will lead high-quality, play-based programs that are inclusive, culturally responsive, and grounded in best practices. Through coaching and collaboration, you’ll build strong teams, enhance program quality, and ensure every child and family feels seen, respected, and supported. Your leadership will translate strategy into everyday experiences that create belonging and lasting impact.

You’ll bring:

  • ECE III certification
  • 5 years experience in Child Care management or 7 years related experience in a similar field
  • Advanced knowledge of early childhood education frameworks and curriculum design; including play-based learning, inclusion, and culturally responsive programming, with the ability to apply research-based practices to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to mentor directors, supervisors, and educators to build capacity, drive program quality, and support continuous professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and enhance program quality using data, observations, and feedback to identify gaps, implement improvement plans, and ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Expertise in developing and standardizing curriculum across multiple sites while maintaining flexibility to meet diverse community and centre-specific needs.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to strengthen programming and innovation.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and Truth & Reconciliation, with the ability to integrate inclusive practices, Indigenous perspectives, and diverse learning approaches into curriculum development and program delivery.

How Y Winnipeg Supports Your Impact:

  • Professional Development: Paid training opportunities
  • Wellness: Complimentary Y membership and access to Employee Assistance Program
  • Extended Healthcare & Pension Plan matching
