About the role

The Child Wellbeing Partner works collaboratively to strengthen and sustain a child safe culture across BFS Children's Services. A key focus of the role is building strong, trusted relationships with Centre Directors, educators and service staff, and provide practical guidance, coaching and support in responding to child safety and wellbeing concerns.

Key Essential Criteria

• A relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma or above) from an accredited Australian tertiary Institution
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children and families in early childhood education and care, child and family services, social work, case management or a related field
• Demonstrated commitment to child safe practices and experience supporting or contributing to a child safe organisational culture in line with the Child Safe Standards and National Principles for Child Safe Organisations
• Sound knowledge of child protection legislation, mandatory reporting obligations, child safety and wellbeing practices, and the NSW Child Protection Guidelines
• Demonstrated experience providing advice, guidance and practical support to staff on child safety and wellbeing practices, and the NSW Child Protection Guidelines
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework and their application to child safety and wellbeing practice
• Understanding of contemporary practice approaches, including trauma-informed, attachment-based, child-centred, family focused, strengths-based, inclusive and relational practice
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate, confidential and timely records, including case notes and documentation, in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements
• Strong interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to coach, influence and build capability across a range of stakeholders
• Knowledge of legislative requirements relating to information management, privacy, record keeping and responses to subpoenas
• Current paid employment NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)

• Demonstrated commitment to cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
• Evidence of completion of the National Child Safety Training Foundation Course
• Details of a minimum two referees, where one must be a manager or supervisor at your current or most recent workplace.
